Our French bob lace front wig is part of our Invisible Layer collection, meaning the ends of this wig our full and thick. This wig comes with a soft velvet ear tabs so it's comfy to wear.

The French bob is a one length hairstyle that sits above the shoulder, meaning it lightly brushing the shoulders. The bottom is full resulting in a very cute hairstyle that is easy to style and looks amazing on just about anyone!

We crafted our lace front wig with soft lace, which flawlessly blends in with lighter complexions and is itch-free. We made the knots invisible and cut in baby hairs, making the hairline undetectable to the naked eye. You don’t have to worry about anything!

Realistic Silk Top Replica

French-drawn tops are known for their unparalleled realism; however, they are very expensive to make so we took a different approach. This wig features a 3" strip in the middle, which has the same scalp-like look as traditional silk tops but is much less expensive to make.

Double-Lined Cooling Mesh Back

Our innovative double-lined cooling mesh back keeps you comfortable and cool under your wig throughout the day.

Closed Wefted Back

The back of our wig is double-lined with our cooling mesh; the inside layer makes it is very comfortable to wear all day. The wefted design means that the hair is attached to ribbons and then attached to the wig cap.

  • 8" length with no layers so the bottom is thick and full. 

  • Frustrated with all the layers in your wig? Do the ends of your wig to look disconnected and thin making it hard to make the wig look natural.

    We decided to create a "Invisible Layer" Collection because we believe one length will make it easy to create a very natural, soft and effortless look. A slight texture trim is all you need to create a very chic tousled hairstyle that looks so natural.

If your piece is not right for you, we understand. Sometimes it takes a little trial & error before you find 'The One'...Not to worry! You can simply make an exchange / return within 14 days of receipt in original packaging with tag included. The wig can not be "unaltered" for a full refund or exchange. Unaltered means that you can't cut, drastically restyled (wash, etc), or wear the wig outside your home - basically please just be respectful and kind. If you alter the wig, it cannot be returned.

Lace Front Wig FAQs

A lace front wig recreates a hairline that has been lost and needs to be recreated. Hair is attached to lace in the front part of the wig with the hope that it looks like hair is growing from your scalp and recreates a hairline.

Keep in mind not all lace front wigs are created equal. A lot of detail goes into the making of a realistic hairline. At Encelia, we use a soft, comfy Swiss lace that is translucent and undetectable to the naked eye. Our knots are tiny and bleached and then we follow a feathered zigzag approach, which makes our hairline soft and virtually indistinguishable from your own. *Note: We have different shades of lace so if you have a darker complexion, we can make a lace front that matches your skin tone.

At Encelia, we use soft, translucent Swiss lace that flawlessly blends into your skin tone making the hairline undetectable.

  • OPEN LACE FRONT: is a traditional (unfolded) lace front that is made with one layer of Swiss lace, which recreates a natural looking hairline and makes it easy to wear your hair off of our face.
  • CLOSED LACE FRONT: has a 1/8" folded Swiss lace, which makes the front of the wig to sit super flat and snug against the forehead making it ideal for: 1) Fringe or Bangs: stay put and look great all day 2) Women who still a hairline but don't want to use the painful clips commonly used in toppers. If you have some hair in the front (less than 1/2" inch), you can pull your hair forward and use your own natural hairline and then you would place this wig just after your hairline (where you place your topper). Because the front will sit snug against the head the transition from your hair to wig hair will be seamless - no teasing or clips required. Watch tutorial here



Most lace front wigs require glue or adhesive to prevent the lace from lifting throughout the day. At Encelia, we believe a wig should be functional and easy to wear. We believe lace front wigs should be glueless. Our lace front wig stays firmly in place all day because we have built-in two kinds internal headbands that grip to the wig and keep the wig firmly in place all day.

  1. INTERNAL MEDICAL GRADE SILICONE HEADBAND: 1.5" inch silicone headband wraps from ear to ear and then along the nap, which grips to the head, which keeping your wig and lace front firmly in place all day.
  2. INTERNAL REMOVABLE JERSEY KNIT WIG GRIP HEADAND: 1.5" inch ultra-soft, washable, brushed jersey (think Vuori) wraps from ear to ear and then along the nap. Silicone free grippers are added to help make this wig slip-proof while also being breathable because the jersey wicks moisture and drys quickly.

Most lace front wigs require glue or adhesive to keep the lace snug against your forehead.

Many women get overwhelmed with cutting lace front wigs so at Encelia, our lace front wigs come pre-cut with baby hairs cut in so you don't have to worry about a wig. But, the lace is delicate so we know that you will have to trim your lace every six months or so. Click here to see a detailed step by step tutorial.

The lace front is the most delicate part of a wig. In general, you don't really want to mess with your lace front so try to keep it makeup free. Lace can easily rip, stretch and fay so great care should go into cleaning it. If you need to remove makeup, it's best to just let the wig sit in a basin filled with a moisturizing shampoo. Do not rub, pick or use makeup remover.

If you used glue or adhesive, contact the company that makes the glue or other adhesive to learn the best ways to remove or deactivate the adhesive.

At Encelia, because we want your lace front wig to last a year and half to two years we have purposely designed our lace front wig to sit snug so that you don't need to use adhesives.

The lace front is the most delicate part of a wig. In general, you don't really want to mess with it because it can easily rip, stretch and fay so great care should go into caring for it.

At Encelia, the lifespan of your lace front wig will vary depending on its maintenance, frequency of use, and the hair type you choose:

  • Remy Human Hair: 16 to 24 months
  • Luxury Synthetic: 12 to 15 months
  • Heat Friendly Synthetic: 6 to 8 months

Proper care and products will help prolonging its lifespan but about half way through it's life you will need to trim the lace because the lace will fray and you will lose hair. Click here for a detailed tutorial on how to trim your lace front.

We do not recommend sleeping in a lace front wig because the lace is so delicate. A better option is our headband wig because it's lace free, flexible and super comfy.

We understand that letting go of a wig is hard because they are expensive to buy. Here are some helpful tips on when and how to let go and recycle your wig.

  • Are you worried or thinking about the wig when your wearing it? Maybe it's too thin or has a hole or the lace front just isn't looking right. In general, if you are concerned about how your wig looks then it might be time to let it go.
  • Is it itchy or uncomfortable? Has the hair "inverted"? When hair inverts or comes inside the cap it can be very itchy and it might be time to retire it.
  • Does it fit well? Wigs that are too big feel you with fear and wigs that are too small can cause tension headache.

Notice how we don't mention the condition of the hair. Most hair can be restored. For human hair wigs, consider doing an overnight keratin, deep moisturizing mask. For synthetic, try restoring the fiber with water and a flat iron. If you do these things and the hair still doesn't look the way you want, try re-toning or coloring your wig. And, if that doesn't work well it's time retire it. Wig hair isn't might to last forever so please keep that in mind.
