Join us March 3rd, 2023 at Bravadas between 2-4pm at 7929 W Dodge Rd in Omaha, NE, or on March 4th, 2023 between 2-4pm at 11004 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS, as we discuss navigating life without hair.  ENCELIA® Hair is hosting this hair loss community pop-up event at Bravadas in Omaha, NE, and in Kansas City, KS.  We'll be talking about all things related to hair loss - relationships, best practices, the best wigs for you, and tips/tricks!

Whether you're looking for advice on how to cope with temporary or chemo-related hair loss, or just want to learn more about women living with long-term alopecia, this community event is the place for you. Although hair loss isn't uncommon, many of us feel like it is. Many of us have never met other women in our communities who are also coping with hair loss.  This casual event is a safe place for anyone with hair loss to come, enjoy some company, and support one another.

Allison Ombres, founder of Encelia Hair, will share a bit about her unexpected hair loss journey which started in the eighth month of 2nd pregnancy when she developed Alopecia Universalis (total and complete hair loss). She will share her frustrations with wigs, wins, and struggles. She has the hope that by sharing her journey, it will empower others to share their own hair loss stories!

Relationships: Having supportive, open-minded relationships is a big part of coping with hair loss but it can be challenging for us and for our loved ones to understand how to support us. Let's discuss and brainstorm how your friends and family have and have not supported you.

Best Practices: Do you have daily rituals, routines that are working well for you? Are you using any products or treatments that you feel are helping? How have to opened up to friends and your community about your hair loss? What changes would you like to see?  For example, cold cap therapy reduces chemo's effects on your hair follicles, and it can also be used as a temporary solution to help you grow back hair.Allison will share her update while trying to involve the attendees to join in on the conversation.

Wigs: The right wig can make all the difference in how you feel!

Let's discuss what we love about our wigs and what improvements we would like to see.  Choosing the right wig for you is critical to helping you feel comfortable and at ease. While there are hundreds of wigs to choose from it can be overwhelming to find the right wig for you.  Let's talk about the options, likes and dislikes.

Lastly, remember to ask your dermatologist about local support groups or the online community. Talking to other people who are dealing with hair loss can be a huge relief and a huge confidence boost.  Let's talk about all things related to hair loss - relationships, best practices, best wigs, & tips & tricks!

Comes from the heart,

Allison
