What is the best easy-to-wear human hair wig for cancer patients? If you are about to go through chemo then you probably researching both cold cap therapy and best human hair wigs on the market. Just me I understand the need/desire to find the best possible wig on the market but I would encourage you to really think what that best wig really means for you. What do you really want to do in the wig? What do you love to do? What makes you feel good?
The reality is that the best human hair wigs on the market cost upwards of $3,000 to $9,000. These wigs are delicate, they are cumbersome to wear. They take patience & time to become comfortable in them. I know this because I have been a total bald women for five years now; I developed Alopecia Universalis in the 8th month of my 2nd pregnancy. The one thing I've learned over the years, after running a wig consultation business is that more than anything women need to feel at ease in a wig. This is hard to do because most wigs are hot, itchy, & often poorly sized. Not to mention the burden that wigs often come with due to the hefty price tag. In an effort to "persevere" the wig, many women pull away and stop doing little things that they used love to do due to the cost of the wig, the heat or itchy material. This breaks my heart because women aren't choosing to not have hair, they simply can't have it because there isn't a good alternative wig solution.
Wearing a wig all day, every day is work! And at the end of the day, many of us just need a break from the wig. But if we want hair, we are given one option - a wig. I thought I would share an interview that I had with Chia Wollschlager of Chia Silver Lining, because basically the interview highlight some points on why a "traditional" wig isn't the ideal solution for all of us. . That said, I can not say enough positive things about Chia Wollschlager. She is incredibly kind, down-to-earth and has such a positive vibe that it is literally is impossible to not be drawn to her. Shortly after we connected, she called saying that she is coming to San Diego and that she would love to meet up. Just before our meet up, she mentioned that she wanted to interview me & I said, ok sounds great. I wish, now, that I would have prepped a bit more for the interview because I definitely rambled a lot throughout it but for my 1st interview it wasn't terrible. Anyways, I wanted to share it with all of you.
